Club Committees

Club committees serve as vital components in facilitating our club’s smooth and efficient functioning. They offer opportunities for members to actively engage and contribute their expertise and skills in areas that align with their strengths and interests.

In order to ensure a harmonious fit and maximum participation, each member is extended an invitation to join a committee that best suits their individual talents and capabilities. By doing so, we foster an environment where every member can actively participate and make valuable contributions to the club’s objectives.

Furthermore, it is important to note that the Club President holds the ex-officio status within all appointed committees. This means that the Club President serves as a non-voting member, providing invaluable insights and guidance, and ensuring effective coordination and alignment across all committees.

Our club’s appointed committees include:

  • Fundraising

  • Greater Visibility (PR)

  • Membership

  • Service & Advocacy

Nominating Committee

This committee holds a unique position as the sole elected committee within the club, distinct from the Club President who is not an ex-officio member.

Comprising of three members who are well-versed in the club’s operations, its membership, and the specific qualifications necessary for each club office, their knowledge is essential in fulfilling their designated responsibilities.

One of their primary tasks is to meticulously identify potential candidates for various club positions, actively reaching out to them and seeking their consent for nomination. With a thorough understanding of the club’s dynamics, the Nominating Committee aims to assemble a diverse and capable slate of officers, directors, and candidates. This comprehensive lineup is then presented by the chair of the Nominating Committee during the club’s April meeting, serving as a precursor to the general elections held at the Annual General Meeting in May.

The Nominating Committee Members are:

  • Wendy Dowling (2023-2024)

  • Irene O’Leary (2023-2024)

  • Kaye Metaxas (2023-2024)
